Welcome to the home for the Twelfth Precinct Pistol and
Archery Club on the world wide web. Activities
are held both indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather,
throughout the year! The
goal of Twelfth Precinct Pistol and Archery is to encourage organized
firearms shooting and archery among citizens of the
We
further endeavor to provide for the mutual improvement of its members by
encouraging and stimulating an interest in outdoor sports, including but not
limited to firearms shooting and archery, and by encouraging among the
members closer personal acquaintance and a friendly spirit of mutual
cooperation, and to promote the development of those characteristics of
honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play, and self-reliance,
which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true
patriotism.
In 2008, the Club has hosted the Maryland State Pistol Championship, the Maryland State Air Pistol matches, and the two-day Chesapeake Classic NFAA field archery tournament.
Regular activities include monthly NRA registered outdoor pistol tournaments (2700), NRA-approved air pistol matches, four pistol leagues annually, air pistol league, NRA-certified training courses, 3D archery league shoots, NFAA field shoots, and a youth program including air rifle and archery. Weaver, Dane Van Breichenruchardt, and Dick Heller at a Second The Twelfth Precinct (12 PPC) had the honor of hosting a Second Amendment Sisters (SAS) photo shoot with Anton Antonowicz, the US editor of the London Daily Mirror. Dick Heller, the focus of the DC gun ban hearing at the Supreme Court on March 18, his wife, Jane, his attorney, Dane Van Breichenruchardt, and Maryland and DC SAS coordinators and members enjoyed an afternoon of shooting with both guns and cameras!
